Position Overview The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application processes. This role is essential in maintaining financial health and facilitating effective credit management while providing leadership and support to the accounts receivable staff.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise and lead the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Review and approve invoices and billing processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct credit analysis on new and existing customers to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports to track receivables and identify collection issues.
- Assist in month-end close processes related to accounts receivable and cash management.
- Implement and maintain effective billing and collection policies and procedures to optimize cash flow.
- Support financial audits and assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable and collections management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
