Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massages to clients, helping them achieve relaxation and relief from pain or tension. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques will be essential in delivering exceptional patient service.
Duties
- Perform client assessments to determine their specific needs and preferences
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual conditions and goals
- Administer various massage techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage
- Apply appropriate pressure and manipulate soft tissues to promote relaxation and pain relief
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance the benefits of massage therapy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Valid state license or certification as a Massage Therapist
- Proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and the musculoskeletal system
- Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and their therapeutic benefits
- Experience in acute pain management and trigger point therapy is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional client service
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess clients conditions accurately
- Strong understanding of pain management principles
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality
